LonelyPlanet.com |
Lonely Planet comes up with one of the best overall reference sites for the small country of Estonia. While Nancy and I feel it is not a place you should allocate a lot of time (unless you have relatives who live there, or came from there), it has much to attract you. As of this writing (2005), it is not yet too Westernized, and the Eastern European flavor is
still strong. |

This site gives nice coverage to the main cities of Estonia, the places you are most likely to visit, including, but not only, about Tallin. Though Estonia is touted as a great place to visit in the wintertime, be aware that winters in the Baltic can be brutal. In summer, the temperatures are mild, the air is cool and unpolluted. |
