Photo: Traveled to Croatia on a cruise of the Black Sea, originating in Istanbul and ending in Venice. This small street is typical of what you will find "off the beaten path" throughout Europe. The street is very difficult to navigate in a regular wheelchair, that is, one with small front wheels. An electric scooter will be easier, but the ride will be rough because most scooters and electric wheelchairs have little ground clearance. Please notice the large, fluffy wheels of Nancy's "Dune Buggy". The chair is expensive, but has made the whole world so much more accessible for us. With the configuration shown above- large, soft (6 lbs. pressure) front tires and pneumatic 15" wheels on the back, we can go practically anywhere we want.
